Netcong Elementary Students See STEM in Action at Picatinny

Forty, eighth-grade students from Netcong Elementary School came to Picatinny Arsenal on Nov. 12 for of tour of its facilities.

The field trip was hosted by the Arsenal’s Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Outreach Office. The STEM Office held the tour to provide local students with a broad overview of the Arsenal’s STEM capabilities and show students how their classroom education can be applied in a future, hands-on STEM career.

During the tour, the students also learned about Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), remote weapons, and visited the Arsenal’s Gaming, Interaction, and Multimedia Lab.
